Who is Operational for?
Founder-led ecommerce brands turning over $1M or more, usually at the point where the business has outgrown the way it was set up. For brands under $1M, Founder Advisory at owenbolwell.com is the better fit.
What happens in the free conversation?
It's 30 minutes on what's getting in the way, with the short form beforehand so we arrive already knowing your brand. By the end we'll both know whether a Diagnostic makes sense, and there's no obligation either way.
What is the Diagnostic?
A fixed-fee review of your business that takes about three weeks and ends in a 90-day roadmap, with each change ranked by what it's worth and who owns it. For a stalled Shopify build or a re-platform, the platform-led version also scopes the work, the sequence & the people needed.
Do you work with our existing agencies?
Yes. We work alongside your agencies & developers, in your corner, making sure the briefs are clear, the work matches what was agreed and results are reported in numbers you can check. Keep the partners who are delivering, and get more from them.
How much time does it need from our team?
We do the digging, so most of what we need from your team is access to your systems & data and a few conversations with the people closest to the work.
What happens after the roadmap?
The roadmap is yours to keep. Some brands run with it in-house, some bring us in for a specific project such as a rescue or re-platform, and others keep us on monthly as an Embedded Operating Partner working alongside their team.
How much does it cost?
The Diagnostic is a fixed fee agreed before any work starts, so you know the cost up front. We quote it after the free conversation, once we both know what's in scope.
Do you only work with Shopify brands?
Most of our platform work is on Shopify, including moving brands across from other legacy platforms. The operations, conversion & AI work applies whichever platform you're on.
Do you take commissions from platforms or agencies?
We're vendor-neutral, with no platform commissions and no agency mark-ups, so every recommendation is made for your business alone.
Where are you based?
We're based in Melbourne, Australia and work with brands around the World across multiple timezones.
Who will we be working with?
Senior operators only, led by Owen, with specialists across Shopify development, paid media, data, CRO & design and operations brought in when the work needs them.
